    Fox mustang exhaust

Well, for the mufflers I want, they are discontinued and I found a place that has them-for 117/each. Which is a bit too much for me. I paid 90 bucks for my last set. So, shipped they are 248 bucks. I can get a complete mustang cat back with the same mufflers for 295 bucks from summit.

So, anyone ever try to use mustang tailpipes? I'd think maybe the over the axle bends might be of some use, I'd like to have the mandrel bends there, since the 2.5" is a PITA to bend and get right on the panthers..

if you think its hard to bend pipes for a stock height panther you should try one that is lowered.. like mine

My old exhaust would have worked fine...It was tucked nicely.

So, it looks like it's going to be another 1K exhaust sytem for my car. That includes, headers, Hpipe, cats, mufflers, and all other piping. Ugh, almost as much as the fucking motor...

Fairmont Kevin mentioned that he was thinking of putting stock duals on his car. He has custom bent 2.5" exhaust now.

i am using a set of Mid-legnth Mustang headers into a short pipe followed by a "cat" then right into a muffler . this is on each side. the exhaust ends at about the "B" pillar. once i get the mufflers im going to use it will have a extension on it and a turn down just after the reardoors.

Well, what I need to know is if the mustang tailpipes will work with or without heavy mods, I have a wagon, so my exhaust exits out the side behind the rear wheels...

Right now I don't have any mustang exhaust sitting around to check out..

you could probably drive to FL and have the system bent up and drive back with that same 1k

I'd like to know this as well. I need to upgrade my tail pipes. I have 2-1/2" dual exhasut, but I just adapted my stock tail pipes to fit on the mufflers. I really need to get the tails done in 2-1/2" as well. Right now it has a pretty 60s sound to it, and I believe it to be caused by that 2-1/2" to 1-7/8" reduction.

The shop i goto said they could bend up a system just like mine including the H and tips for <$200. You'd probably need your own mufflers at that price, but the money you'd save is gas $$

That's one thing though. I'm not a big fan of seeing my exhaust. Tips look good and all but it's not for me. I want 2-1/2" pipes that are run the same way as stock, all up inside and hidden except for the turnown at the end.

I can get header back prolly for 300 bucks, just for tubing and labor. Then I have to add 02 sensor bungs, cats, mufflers, headers.

                          Tubing $300
                          headers $160
                          02 bungs $10
                          Cats $86
                          Mufflers $40-180

                          ---------------------------
                          total $596-736

OR if the mustang tailpipes could be modded
                          Headers $160
                          O/R Hpipe $110
                          Cats $86
                          Mustang cat back $310

                          -------------------------
                          total $666
