    140 mph speedometer

Does anyone have any pics of one? Does it bolt up in place of the 85 mph speedometer without any major problems?

As long as you have the correct one for your year, which yours would be 88-91 model.

if its for your 90 GM you can only use the 90-91's. ford redesigned the dash in 1990, along with actually redesigning the floorpans. it doesn't look it, but the floorpans are different lol

What does the 88-89 dash look like?

most of the dash pieces are the color of the interior and the wood is just a surround. plus on the vics, the ltd crown vic emblem is embedded into the dash piece rather than an add on emblem glued on

My dash doesn't even have any emblems, and it was like that when we acquired it almost 15 years ago.

              some are like that

my 85 Squire had one, Christine had one(but its living a new life in KrasnyOktyabr's car ), the 86 had one, but the 85 and 87 steelie wagons didn't have one. and one of the cars, i forget which one it merely said LTD. the others said LTD Crown Victoria

I found one of those LTD emblems at the shop, they gave it to me and I put it on the inside of my trunk lid.

Are the CV and GM speedometers identical or different? I can find 140 mph speedos for Crown Vics, no Grand Marqs.

That's because Grand marq's were not police cars. Only Vics...Ad for the most part, marqs are way different.

Way Fugly........of all the things I might like about the early box GM's, the speedo/instrument cluster isn't one of them.

I'm going to do more research on the speedo subject. Factory would be nice, but aftermarket gauges would be wicked nice.
