    Adjustable pedestal roller rockers....

Was thinking of these instead of getting new pushrods...

I didn't realize that I still had 200 bucks in my paypal acount. That makes it a bit less of a hit for the rockers... I've always wanted roller rockers...

You will need taller valve covers to use those.

Kinda figured that. I know the mustang aluminum ones have issues, that's why the cobra VC's are actually lopo steel ones. And depending on how much clearance is needed, I could probably stack the ford steel gaskets. Or I can just modify the stock covers for extra clearance.

You can use the Mustang ones if you rip the baffles out of them, probably the same goes for the lopo steelies. Or you can just pick up taller steel VCs for like $35 like I did.

Yeah, but I want stock looking VC's...I think the double gasket would prolly work.

If I could find some inexpensive 6.3" pushrods (guesstimate and what mercracer said he had to use on his) I 'd prolly get them. But I have only found $141 dollar ones....I'd rather spend a bit more and get the rockers...

Are all roller rockers adjustable? Any advantages over non-adjustables? I need a set for the heads I got for Christmas. Maybe we could get a group buy going or something. I was thinking about buying the Crane cams "Cobra" rockers 1.70:1 (Part # 44746-16). What do you think?

No, not all roller rocker are adjustable. Even less so for pedestal type rockers.

Depending on the heads you have the rockers could stud mount instead of adjustable.

The benefit is proper adjustment of preload and valvetrain geometry.

I'm just going to keep it simple and buy the "Cobra" rockers.

Make sure you get the correct rockers for your app....pedestal or stud mount..the ones you have pictured are stud mounts.

I will, they are suppose to be Crane Cams' Energizer, 1.70:1, 5/16" pedestal-mount roller rockers (#44746-16).

I have a set of FMS roller rockers from a Cobra motor. They're the Crane pedastal mount ones. Picked them up for $125. I've used Crane stud mount roller rockers in the past on big block Chevy motors and they're pretty good. The only issue I ever had with one was because the press-in stud was actually pulling out of the head and not keeping the proper preload on the lifters.

                              I don't know yet.

However, Scott runs the stock HO cam with 1.7 roller rockers, and has no problems...

                              I got aftermarket chromie V/Cs...
