I have the pushrods that came with the roller rockers off the original engine, and they're exactly the same length as the pushrods from my HO engine. Mine were used from an actual Cobra engine.

Cobra heads were milled from the factory to get the lower compression from them. Unless you are using actual Cobra GT-40 heads, you will most likely need longer pushrods.

Do I need new pushrods for the 1.70:1 roller rockers? Will 5.0L HO valve covers clear everything?

i have aftermarket chrome valve covers......the ones with 302 stamped on them

I searched for the approximate length I needed and didn't find any under 141 bucks

I was looking in summit, and the pushrods were less than 100 bucks...

The adjustment nut I think would be the issue with these. And I'm running a bit more lift...

I'd love the get these rockers, but I hate having to make more stuff work. And I'm not quite sure if I will still need longer pushrods....

How's the VC clearance?

I don't know yet.

However, Scott runs the stock HO cam with 1.7 roller rockers, and has no problems...

I got aftermarket chromie V/Cs...

I have a set of FMS roller rockers from a Cobra motor. They're the Crane pedastal mount ones. Picked them up for $125. I've used Crane stud mount roller rockers in the past on big block Chevy motors and they're pretty good. The only issue I ever had with one was because the press-in stud was actually pulling out of the head and not keeping the proper preload on the lifters.

I will, they are suppose to be Crane Cams' Energizer, 1.70:1, 5/16" pedestal-mount roller rockers (#44746-16).

Make sure you get the correct rockers for your app....pedestal or stud mount..the ones you have pictured are stud mounts.
