I was talking to my dad on the phone earlier and he took my merk for a drive a few days ago and the transmisson was giving im some touble. First he tried to put it in drive and reverse but the trans js spun and did nothing. He put it back in park and then the trans caught when it was shifted back ito drive. But less than a quarter mile down the road the car came out of gear again sitting at a stop sign. Is my AOD dying? Or do I need to adjust the linkage?
