    EGR spacer mods

The gasket surface area doesnt match up. I mean the 60plus mm diameter matches but the little surface area that comes off the side. One is in the corner and one is at the side. This being on the coolant side does this cause a problem with delivery and return of coolant. Wish I could send pics of what Im talking about but IM not that hightech yet.

Did you bore out your stock EGR spacer? If you did, run a stock gasket and you should be okay. If you are trying to use a Mustang spacer, you need a Mustang gasket.

E-mail me the pictures and I can host and post them for you.

you dont have to hook up those egr coolant lines, there isnt any need for them. You can just route them off by connecting them to each-other.

Can you use the stock mustang egr spacer, or do you have to bore out your stock one? I'm putting an 90' HO intake and TB on my lopo soon.

sounds like you may not have bored the spacer straight. the back side does get thin and may have sealing issues.

As long as the center is making proper contact so you don't have an air leak, I'd just cap off the coolant lines and not worry much about it.

87mefull: Don't think you can get away with a Mustang EGR spacer. The throttle bracket attaches to the spacer, and the brackets are not the same on a Mustang. You could do it if you make up a custom throttle and tv cable bracket though.

The mustang one requires a bit of work to fit. Boring the stocker is the way to go (well, actually a 93-95 lightning one is the SHIT, but is impossible to get)...

I have a spare stocker sitting around I can get bored if you need it.

Stock can only be bored out to 63mm, so if you want to go with a 65mm throttlebody, you'll want a Mustang spacer. It's easy to modify the stock stuff to work. I had a little angle iron laying around and cut to fit (Scott's idea).

Wow, $50 is a ripoff for an EGR spacer boring. $10-20 is reasonable. Its an easy job that any shop with a milling machine or a lathe can do in a few minutes.
