Well assuming I find the explorer or cobra intake at the u-pull-it store the heads (hopefully gt-40's) will be coming too... along with a E303 cam

I wouldn't suggest a Cobra or Explorer intake on a stock lopo motor. Too much intake. An HO upper with matching throttle body and spacer would be a better idea. You can either do stock cables, bore the EGR spacer, and mod the throttle body, or do like IvanD did and use the Mark VII spacer, and change out the cables to loop them around the other side of the intake. If you search around on here there are pics of his HO upper swap with the cable routing.

Unless you can get them for free dont bother. I think I ended up paying $40-$50 shipped for a pair and it would have been easier to just pony up and buy real headers right then.

yeah and wouldn't ya know it the junkyard didnt have one of those in it, had every year just about just not that one, and of course partsamerica.com and autozone.com only carry the non-tubular replacement... You wouldnt happen to have a set or know of where a set is do ya scott? ... at a modest price of course. Im still gonna get the 90 lincolns anyway, just incase i deside to make some cash or do a 2.50" manifold and h-pipe conversion! BTW the 90 TC tube manifolds, do they have the 02 bung? or would that have to be fabricated?

Yeah well they only have one more bolt and they are out, plus they are in pretty good shape not bashed to hell and the studs are reuseable, shit and for 30.00 and some clean up cant beat it! Maybe ill get one of those off-road h-pipes from summit. I installed a catless one on my boss's 93stang yesterday and it wasnt bad, but im def not ready to cut into my 400.00 exhaust as of yet! as for the intake, i think imma leave it, I rather have a explorer intake or a cobra one. hard to come by in the yard though...

A mark 7 is a fox body, just like the mustang. All the motor parts are the same as a mustang, with the exception of the alternator.

And yes, you would need to change the size and have the o2 sensor bung installed.

I thought the collector flanges were larger... that means i would have to switch my converter piping to 2.25 like the stangs... oh well.... well they are 1 bolt away from mine outta the junkyard. i aint trying to hack up my 400.00 flowmaster duel exhaust yet... maybe ill get em and ebay them.... oh and i noticed that the upper plentum on that car had a "HO" casting under the bolt cover plate... it looks exactly like my stock one, just reversed and a different egr spacer.... I dont think its gonna be worth my time since I rather have a explorer upper and lower!

they are the same as 86-93 mustang headers....The collector flanges are larger than the panthers and the o2 behind the first cats will mess up the readings and make the car run rich.

started a topic 90 Lincoln M7 LSC tubular manifolds

90 Lincoln M7 LSC tubular manifolds

Does anyone know if the tubular manifolds off a 1990 lincoln LSC will work on my 87 MGM? I do realize that im gonna need new bolts as stock manifold bolts are longer. also that the LSC manifolds do not have o2 sensor bungholes. Im not sure what size the collector flanges are on both my manifold and the LSC's. as for o2 sensor mounting i will eather have to drill a bung in the collector or a hole after the first cat.... has anyone placed a 02 after the first set of cats?
Working...
