Well, I tried this out today, I did the WOT till 55 then let off, I barely felt it go into third. Then, I turned around to go back home, I floored it until around 45, and it went into third pretty firmly.

I went to Chicago and back averaging about 15 mpg. I'm at 15.8 now with a mix of highway and around town. Still annoys me that Tom's car is better on gas than mine is. I do use a lot less oil tho.

Blaze isn't that far off...round trip you'd be looking at about $970 in gas costs.

1200?!!11one1!one WTF kind of mileage are you pulling? If that's the case, find a cheap truck and tow GL if it'd be any cheaper.

No, it picks up power again, that's why I think it might be the carb

If you continue accelerating in 3rd, does it still feel bogged out? If so, it might not be a dead spot in the carb. If you keep it in 3rd and the power picks up after a certain RPM, then you may be right about the carb.

It feels pretty solid, doesn't feel like it's slipping, but it seems to be some kind of resistance or something. I'm thinking it MIGHT be the carb, for some reason it has a dead spot and at certain RPM's it causes some problems. Idunno
