You'll lose low-end torque if you run straight pipes all the way back. If you get the factory H-pipe you won't lose any torque. You'll gain about 10hp, not that it will be immediately noticeable. The exhaust from a two door box is the exact same as the exhaust from a 4 door box. Hope this helps!

I pretty much learn as I go with the car but from what I understand the exhaust adds some horsepower (tiny bit I'm guessing), however I was told I may lose some low end torque. I'm not really sure if the 2 cat setup is more fuel efficient, although I think my mileage numbers got better after the switch. This could be simply due to old blocked up cats being replaced or wieght reduction (cats and factory exhaust dampeners). However the H pipe, extra muffler and pipe added some weight as well so it may just even out. I was definitely pleased with the switch.

Does the 2 cat setup get better mileage that the 4 cat?

Yup, thats a stock dual exhaust setup for a Panther. Same on a sedan and coupe. Just add the hangers for the extra muffler and tailpipe.

I picked up my exhaust at a local auto store (Associated Auto) and I think it ran me around 350-400 all total. With that I replaced the old 4 cat setup with the revised 2 cat (left lines capped), and ditched the airpump. They had the had the whole setup listed for my car (no cutting/mods necessary) and to the best of my knowledge it should be the same for a sedan. Only thing I still have to do is add another hanger for the driver's side muffler. Hope that helps.

Also, will it work for a four door? Any mods to make it work it it doesn't?

I just looked at the thread with a link to pics of your old and new exhaust. Where did you get the new exhaust and how much did it cost? Did it come with cats or start behind stock cats?
Working...
