    Crank pulley

This weekend we got a big ass box of Mustang parts. In there was a under drive crank pulley. It is only a single row pulley, the belt grooves sits about 1 groove too close to the engine. the orginal pulley appears to be a two-piece design, is there a way to split the two apart? I think if i can split them the the rear pulley will space it out far enough.

Sure, get a plasma cutter, sawzall, lathe, whatever your poison is and hack it off...

ASP makes an underdrive pulley....not that cheap though. Or you could make a spacer to move the mustang pulley out from the balancer.

Has anyone ran Mustang brackets in a CV? What potential problems exist?

Have to rewire alternator, make all of the A/C lines, the water pump is different (reverse rotation) Depending on the car and your plans...it'd be easier to run the mustang accy's than the vic. Especially in a racecar....

Probably would be a non-issue for someone just using an alternator and power steering pump tho. Its kind of a pain moving accessories all over the place, especially the AC.

Alternator is wired on its own, anyway- 200amp units don't fit too well with the stock wiring.
PS pump would be the same... new A/C hoses wouldn't be that big of a deal and the wiring is longer to reach the passenger side, so it'd be easier on the driver's side, yes?
Reverse rotation pump is a non-issue. I'll be building the motor from the ground up, anyway.

I plan to switch over completely to the 94-95 setup. The AC is still on the passanger side (I have to replace my pump anyways), I have to rewire for a 3G anyways, and I wouldn'y mind replacing my power steering pump either, I also already am running that backwards water pump, and I could do that and change to rack and pinion at the same time.....hmmmm full plate there.
