Full exhaust

Is there an exhaust system available starting from the cats all the way back to the mufflers? I have to stock single exhaust and I hate it. It sounds kinda high pitched and flows like frozen molasses. I'd like to convert to a dual exhaust. How much would one run me? Or how much would a stock dual setup from a junkyard go for? I don't want to spend more than $400 on this, because I don't know how much longer i'll have this car. Any suggestions are greatly appriciated.

and you will need two 2" ofset ofset mufflers

Thanks man. Do the mufflers have to be 2"? Will 2.25" or 2.50" work?

The exhaust pipe is 2", so you'll have to use 2" mufflers

Dang, that means I can't use Flowmaster Super 40's. Those were the cheapest ones I found on there site. I could go with 40 Delta Flows. Are they any good?

get 2" flowmasters mang.......but for a budget i would consider the summit turbo's........15 bucks ea......sound good, gadget has a set

Do I need a welder to install all of this? If I do then i'll probably take it to a shop to put in, since I have summer school and I may get a job in the afternoons.

Well, my parents just basically shot down this idea. I asked them about gettin money out of the bank for me because i'm not 18 and I can't withdraw money myself. They started making up shit about wasting my money on stupid things and don't want me to spead money on that car. They're a bunch of fudgepackers. They said I can replace it if it goes bad. Maybe sometime soon it'll "mysteriously" develope a massive rust problem. How would I induce rusting to the exhaust myself?

Also, is it legal to have the exhaust end at the muffler? If I can I won't buy the tailpipes for it. Then maybe it'll be at such a low cost that my parents won't mind me buying the H-pipe and mufflers.

No, I don't have a pool, but my friend does. This is gonna be fun. Dual exhaust here I come.

88Vic, last summer I got from the junkyard an offroad H-pipe and a driver's side tailpipe, they ran them in the computer as three reguar tailpipes which ended up being like $15 or so. If you can find a car with a good condition exhauts by all means go for it, should save you lots of money. As for the exhaust setup - my Townie currently has two glasspacks and side exiting pipes, so she's pretty loud, and I've driven side by side with cops many times, never had a problem (obviously don't floor it while the cruiser's there). For several months I ran just cat-converters with turndowns bolted right to them, still no problems with the cops, and that's way more illegal than my current setup. You can run an H-pipe, two mufflers, and turndowns, and perfectly get away with it - it won't sound loud, and to a cop it'll seem just as if you have some massive exhaust leak (not uncommon with cars at that age). As a matter of fact go have a look at the Panther of the month, I think that's exactly what Duce has in her

That is my exact combo. but it sounds tame with the lo-po fireing order and anemic h/c/i but once i swaped over to my p heads with HO cam and intake it WOKE UP. http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/294155//jeff1.MPG
