What brand ATF ?

What's everyone using for ATF? Debating putting synthetic and/or a top shelf brand in.

I have an aftermarket cooler, took around 12 1/2 quarts, got it at walmart in a case for around 17 bux

If you use anything but Dexron/Mercon 3 in an AOD, you WILL kill the transmission. I use Supertech for my tranny and my oil. SuperTech is decent.

Runnin w/ Castrol 10w30 meself, will definately go w/ the dexron/mercon III. Whats everyone thoughts on synthetics?

Ehh, not worth the cost to me. Maybe in engine oil since you can go longer between changes. But in a tranny you go about 50K miles between services anyways.

You can safely run mercon V in your car too.

I ran merc 5 in my 87. Worked well. I didn't pay for it though.

When I installed my shift kit I poured in 12qts of Valvoline MaxLive Mercon III, synthetic of some kind (Mobil 1, Royal Purple) would be the ideal situation but then again it's way too expensive.
