    Intake Poll

There is a chance that I may have my upper intake ported...but it will prolly cost me about 150 bucks and I have no idea how much hp I would gain...I'm estimating 10-15 hp at the crank...
I'm also putting in a Holley Systemax I lower intake that should add about 10 hp.
I just don't know if porting the upper intake is worth the money...
    what do you guys think?

Why not wait till we bolt your heads and intake on our flow bench and see what the lower does. Base your decision on fact not a poll

not a bad idea...I'm just curious how much more flow/hp I could get if Jerry ports the upper as well...

Just not much can be done to the upper a bit at the TB opening and some port matching ant the lower. Un less you cut it open or have it extrude honed which is big bucks like you could get a GT40 intake for the price of extruded stuff. It might not be that value added in a heavy car might kill low end a bit I dont thik he would charge 150 to do the upper though. If it needs it the lower would be a better place to spend more money porting. Lets get it on the bench. HP is best calculated knowing total air flow. Injector sizs and other componets can be properly sized then without much if any guess work.

Are you talking about porting the stock upper intake? Why not just get GT40 upper and lower intakes and port them? When I get another car, i'll probably port the stock intakes but do it myself.

I would have gotten a cobra/explorer upper and lower intake, but I already bought an HO upper and a Holley lower...if I'm going to change from that, it will be carbureted.
