Tire Suggestions?

I'm looking ot keep white letters but I don't know what size would be best for handling...
stock is 215/70/15 and I have 15x7 wheels.
what should I get?
225?235?
any ideas?

225/70/15 or 245/60/15"s if u must run 15" wheels lol

225/50/15 would handle well. A 225 or 235 60/15 would handle decent, ride, and look better.

I would suggest some 16" wheels though. I would also suggest the big brake upgrade and rebuilding the frontend. Especially with the HP you are planning.

255/70s look good in the rear...Pete had those on his. 225/70s if you want the same size all around.

I don't have a box vic....but I am running 255/55R16s on my 97. Handles awesome and they bite hard.

Shorter sidewalls will flex less and handle better. I have 245/45s on my car, it handles great. The suspension is still soft enough that it still floats over bumps too.

I agree thats what size Id go with for good handling and not too short of a tire.

I run 245/45 17's on the front with no rubbing or anything. When I had the bullitts on the car handled awesome, I had sticky tires on there too. When I put on the winter set 225/70/15 it has a ton of tire roll now. I need new tires on the bullitts tho. I'm gonna stick with the 245/45's up front and try 255/50's in the rear

Big brakes who needs them. even at 100MPH on skinnies i have no problem stopping by the second turn off, although i always end up going to the last turn off. I just noticed the other day that one header tube is about 1/8" away from my right front brake line.

What's your point? That's not on the street. I melted plenty of pads and cracked rotors with a 200hp POS.




Oh, and I ran 295/50/15's on the rear of mine before....Won't fit up front though.

Just saying that the stock brakes are plenty sufficient to slow our cars. However bigger brakes will do it better for longer periods.
