nope i have not gotten around to it. i hae to get the tubes grooved for a snap ring, but my machinist was out for over a week with a messed up back. Right now im more concerned with getting the tranny in.

possibly. Depends on how much noise it makes, my car is so loud i might not even be able to hear it.

use some of the scrap to fill in the gap between the tube and the sleeve...instead of tape.

sorry 20 inches.
What do you mean by using the tube as a spacer?

20 feet? or 20 inches?
Sounds pretty cool. You could always slit some of the tube and use it as a spacer..

I was going to get some 2 5/8 steel tubing and have the inside threaded for the adjuster to thread into. the 2 5/8 od 3/16 wall tubing is not normally stocked and would have to be ordered, instead i got some 2" OD steel tubing. This tubing will be welded to the perch and the adjuster will slide over it. there is a little slop in the fit, but ill put some tape on the steel tube to prevent noise. The adjuster is about 7" im going to make the steel tube about 6" to support the spring as much as possible. total cost for abour 20' of cold drawn steel tubing, $3.54

Very nice. Will be interesting to find out how it handles.
One of the things that has been bothering me is the 1000lb/in front springs and how much understeer they will be giving me. I would have to upgrade the rear ones accordingly, and the rear springs already seem a little harsh to me as is.

Here are my new springs. The springs are Carrera coil-over springs 10" tall and a 425# rate. Current rear springs are about 170#. stock front springs are around 440#. The adjusters go up to 7".
