I use axle grease on mine... nice and goopy and no rusty since it get on everything. not a clean way to do it in the slightest.

Looks like I gotta do the hinges on the mod box. Any way to tell if its the pins or actual hinges that are worn? Also, I see ebay is selling hinge bushings. Anyone try those?

open the door... lift the door... watch the play in the hinge and look for the gaps between the hinge and pin. Check for a wear mark in the pin or ovaling of the hole in the hinge. You may require a helper for this. It has been my experience that both are worn by the time people get around to fixing them. No clue about the bushings.

Had to replace a hinge on the MM once, got a good one from a local junkyard.
