    Glovebox Stuck

One of those little metal pieces inside my glovebox broke a few months back; and so I took the pair out of the lock, and left well-enough alone.

Well, now, I have replacement lock pieces, and I opened my lock up to reinstall the new ones...And they didn't work. It seems that the spring inside the lock has misplaced itself, and now the lock has no will to open. I tried taking the hinge off to remove the whole glovebox, but couldn't get the lock to disengage...So my glovebox is stuck shut still...

How can I get it out of there to reach the other side of the lock? Do I have to take off the panel above the glovebox?

This happens quite a bit actually. I think with the hinge off you can twist/wiggle it off but Im not sure. Its been a while since I've had to do it.

If you're careful you can pry it open without damaging anything. That's how I got mine open. Got it open enough to get my fingers in and pulled it open.
