Fuel Filter on a CFI car

Ok I told my friend I would help him swap out fuel filters on his car tomorrow. His is a 83 merk 2 door. Stock CFI stuff on it too. Ok stupid question probably but I'm a 4.6 guy. Where is the fuel filter located, is it in line like mine or is it at the actual cfi thing like a carb?

Thanks this will save me time hunting it down.

i *believe* it's on the pass side frame rail near the tank. I think that's where I saw it on my car, but i havent replaced it.

but yea, it should be on the frame rail somewhere, just follow a fuel line

Should be on the right hand side, in front of the rear tire. At least, that's the way it is on my TC, can't imagine it would be anywhere else on a merk

Thanks again I did it, had no problems except they gave me the wrong filter. Took it back, all is well. It is fun working on the older stuff.
