Why would he need an X pipe? It costs more money and unless you're pumping out high HP numbers, you won't see a difference when using an H-pipe.

meh, flowmasters. They sound OK and all but they have a hollow tinny sound and have a tendency to backfire and rumble a bit more than I personally care for. The Thrush turbos aren't obnoxious and are pretty cheap, Dynomax SuperTurbos are also nice. Summit mufflers are real cheap but mine are pretty darn quiet. Sounds just about stock noise level.

hey Scott, what year Impalla SS tail pipes? like 95 or so? I might put tails on my car. Only because i want to put on flame throwers.
Good welding will ensure a leak-free system, but a fully welded exhaust is a bitch because you cant just unbolt your mufflers, you have to drop the whole system.

i do believe you guys get the dyno test in allentown, so you are going to need cats to pass the emmisions test........if you drive under 5,000 mi a year you get an emmisions exempt sticker, but most shops will still check to see if all the emmisions equipment is still there
i reccomend a set of stock shorty headers on that lopo motor, a catted h pipe for a mustang or a mark7, some 2.5" ofset ofset mufflers, a pr of impala ss 2.5" tailpipes, a pr of mustang midpipes, 4 12" pieces of 2.5" exhaust, two turndowns, clamps and hangers.............you can also do the stock box duals with 90 towncar headers, or the 2.25" midpipes with stock 2" tails.......have done them a bunch of ways.........i'm me sometime i can give you more details........i just finished nicks grand marquis last wk, pics up in scotts automotive, we used a pr of used 2.25" tails with chrome tips on his car.......he lives in bethlehem, maybe you can catch up with him sometime........come to my shop sometime mang! would love to meet you, i'm a little over an hr away from you

I have some 4ft long glasspacks on my wagon. It is noticable but not annoying. Sounds better than it has a right to. I have been complimented on it more than once.
