I used to own a '92 CV exactly like yours! A blue LX model.
  2. the engine is a 427ci stroker 351w. a windsor swap is a complete bolt in nothing tricky at all use 5.0 shorty headers (the 351 shorties are dented for stearing shaft clearance in a mustang the crown vic doesn't need it) the alt & p/s bracket bolts right on with a belt for a 351 squad the 351, brackets for the a/c need to be from a 351 squad also with a custom length belt if you delete the air pump. the 351 based engine is the better way to go, it is already bigger than a 347 for way less money. i outlined the 460 swap in another message in a message below

  4. the engine itself went in pretty easy, had to remove the wiper assembly, cowl and all to slide it in, put engine and trans in at same time, cut the mounts off the frame, used the frame mounts off the 71 lincoln the engine came out of, bolted mounts to engine dropped it in leveled everything and welded them to the frame, havent done the front dress yet, a/c, alternator, power steering pump, all different location,
