Our fourteenth Scottfest will be held August 10 thru 13 2018.

address 139 Valley Road Birdsboro PA. 19508

again i will have some sleeping space available. plenty of room in the yard for tents, and room for 3-4 in the rv.

bring some food or beverage item that is unique to your area and a small donation for food if you can.

lets work on some activities.

see you all in august!

Scott

I can bring buckets of grapefruit from my backyard if anyone is interested. Bunch of datil peppers too (native to the St Augustine area). Should have some scorpions available if anyone wants to livestream a pepper challenge

Y'all have fun, I'll be in loan payoff mode for the next 2-3 years. I'm beyond sick of having my student loans. Gonna be throwing everything I can at them to get them paid off ASAP... so no trips by myself (aka to SF) for me.

Brown_Muscle

Sweet, I plan on making it, but I'm not 100% sure on my summer schedule yet. Sorry to hear you can't make it Sly, good luck on getting those loans paid off, student loans suck.

My plan is to bring the Continental, but no dyno or drag runs with that. I don't live in the cranberry or blueberry part of the state, though August is the right time for blueberries.

fresh citrus is magic stuff.

Not a pussy but...

I sure a lopo has more torque than that oil burner.

this. Its rated for 155 lb-ft at 2400. Its quite simply a waste of time to dyno it, and the transmission wouldn't appreciate being loaded up in the lanes. The ZF box in this thing has a problem where if you run it at higher than idle rpm without it actually moving it can over-pressure and blow one of the seals inside which makes it not work. Its apparently reliable otherwise, so all wisdom points to not doing stupid things that are known to make it break. While it would be funny to run a slow, smokey 1/4 mile I really don't want to pay for it with having to deal with the transmission.

I probably have the buns covered (hotdog, hamburger buns), maybe a few sweet treats for breakfast/snacking, and a bag or two of possibly Kettle Cooked chips (I have a PM out to one or two people with dietary restrictions I remembered from years past so I can try to get stuff they can enjoy too). But if anyone wants to chime in and give me a list of ingredients to avoid if possible, publicly or privately, I would appreciate it.

I don't want to overbuy on the buns so a rough headcount/estimate for attendance could be helpful. I could even get potato buns/rolls or something if the bakery thrift store has them and if gluten is a concern.

I may have to drive the '02, the wagons won't be ready for all the extry parts to go home with me by then so no need to bring the truck. The '91 is getting aligned this week from big brake job, and needs a tranny service, easiest thing to do is get the '02 checked out and bring extra oil for what it burns on the way out and back.

yes it should be ok near the pine trees. bring a ground cloth to go under the tent. it is going to be humid.
forecest looks good for next weekend......we will have rain up to wednesday tho.
might be a good idea to bring a fan. there are two outside gfci's on the new shed. one in front one in back.

there is room for people to sleep in the tool shed. there is an a/c in the window.
there is a free bed in my mothers old bedroom.
there is space upstairs in the a/c. bring something to sleep on. i do not have any cots.
there is a small sofa someone could sleep on in the living room.

also i have several tents. two one person tents and two two person tents.

ok, corn, peppers, onions, peaches, cherries. I'll bring my cooler too, figure we'll likely need the space and it makes a handy transport container for food.

Bringing the Towncar, so plenty of trunk. Can't bring the pukey diesel car, it leaks way too bad and I don't have the parts to get it fixed in time. Also kinda have some unrelated things going on and my mind just is not in a place where I can concentrate enough to want to tear into that injection pump.

Yeah, sly, that boner airbed (the baffles were destroyed internally on 1/3 of it resulting in a massive hump on one side, it came that way) was thrown out. I have two more of the same model (they were either $3 or $6 each at the salvage goods store) w/built-in pump.

Holy frackumole! I just checked the turnpike pricing for PA. F-that! To cross the entire state from the Ohio border to Morgantown exit it's $44.45 (6h20m), taking 80 and jogging down to 76 near Harrisburg to Morgantown is $6.25 (6h50m), and avoiding all tolls entirely is (6h53m) looking like the way to go. I'll drive 3 minutes longer (and maybe some hills) to save $6.25. That's an entire breakfast (counting tip, depending on where you go)! And driving the extra half hour to save $38 is a no-brainer.

Also, this caught my eye on CL, Scott do you have a Cub Cadet PTO Snowblower (if this is one)? https://akroncanton.craigslist.org/grd/d/cub-cadet-pto-driven-snow/6637592274.html If it will work for your tractor(s) and want me to bring it out, let me know.

this is the in house room for beds situation.....one person in moms old room. one person on small sofa downstairs if they dont mind legs dangling i have room for two queen airbeds in my room, and two spots for a smaller sleeping area, someone could use my 45 degree sleeping bag and sleeping pad. one on my sofa.
