Yup. I wanted to go with 15% on the back glass, 20% on the back doors, and 30% on the front doors, but the gal who did the tint talked me out of it. I'm glad she did.

A meet sounds good . . . maybe the Florabama sometime?

Very nice Merc! How do you like the Magnaflows?
      Thanks!

I really like the Magnaflows! My neighbor has Flowmasters on his '93 Ranger (5.0 HO Mustang engine) and they sound good, but they are a little too loud for a car like the Merc. The Magnaflows have a mellow burble at cruising speeds but they holler just right when you crack the throttle.

Oh yeah, I'm just gettin' started! Next up is a cold air intake and a 90mm MAFS, Addco front and rear swaybars, and a tune by either Reinhart or Lidio.

I think steelies (which are 16" on all 98+ Panthers, maybe even earlier) which chrome trimrings and chrome center caps would look awesome, nothing wrong with the P71 look. Any questions just fire away, we're always willing to help.
I surely didn't mean to knock the PI look in my previous post, hope nobody has any hard feelings. And now that you mention it, steelies might be a good look on my car. My neighbor with the Ranger has 'em on his truck, painted to match the body color (fire engine red) with chrome trim rings and baby moons. Gives the truck kind of a 50's hotrod look.

Does your Towncar have the same 4.6 2V engine that comes in the Marquis? I'm having a hard time finding a CAI for mine and was kicking around the idea of fitting a Marauder zip tube, MAFS and airbox instead. Did yours fit OK?

I'm sure you didn't offend anyone. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

As much as I'm a fan of steelies, I honestly don't think they'd look all that great on your car. Just something about the idea of a Grand Marquis with black steel wheels on it just doesn't appeal to me. If you'd like, though, I'd be more than happy to put a set on there in photoshop so you can see how they look.

Oh, and since I didn't say so yet, welcome! We're happy to have you!

The photoshop idea sounds great! I'm curious to see how the steelies would look.

              Thanks for the welcome!

                  :cops:

Man, that would get rid of the tailgaters for good, eh? Those wheels and a pair of spotlights on the A-pillars, and I'd be getting arrested for impersonating a police officer.

I dunno, maybe she needs something a little more flashy, like the ones Jumbo put on his car. Those look pretty good.

Thanks for the photoshop, dude! That's pretty cool.

Those do look good on the car, could make a limited edition Grand Marquis Police Interceptor. Maybe Nate could chop the trim rings and larger center caps on there and see how it looks.

If you're considering the front and rear Addco sway bars, I can definately reccomend them. I've had them for under a week and I'm very impressed already. Larger wheels with wider tires also make a huge difference.

The 20% tint was a good move, it looks great.

I might be tempted to trade on a 300C, but only if it was an SRT8.

Heh, after I put the "Pursuit Interceptor" badge on it somebody at work said he didn't know they made Grand Marquis police cars.
