Light problems on 2000 Grand Marquis

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and have a problem with the headlights coming on (this vehicle has the auto light setting) when the ignition is turned off and the auto setting is selected. Additionally the interior lights will come on and stay on when all of the doors are shut----this drains the battery. Both of these problems appeared at the same time. Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks, thalling

    Welcome to the Party!
First, I wouldn't use the auto setting. That's just me.
Interior lights staying on? Like all the time? They never shut off??

interior lights always staying on... check the dimmer adjustment... make sure it's not all the way to the extreme that will turn on the lights manually. If that's not it... check the door jamb switches (all of them) to make sure they're actually getting pressed and not loose.
