    Hello, Just Joined.

A little about me and my rides. But first... shameless plug (link) for why I decided to join: http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre....&goto=newpost
Posted that thread because I can't find the parts for my wagon anywhere and found this site while searching online. The wagon is an 89 LTD Crown Victoria LX but I have no pic to post of it.

I have always been a Ford man. My first car was a 78 Mercury Cougar.

    Also have a 03 Marauder.

I also recently acquired this 79 Thunderbird Heritage but on my first drive a tire blew out and bent the front fender up. It made me sick. Still need to repair it.

Don't think I've ever heard the term "Panther" before. Is that basically whatever cars are on the 79+ Crown Vic frame?

I'll have to check the place out. Sounds like my kind of stuff.

Welcome! Nice garage you've built up.

Panther is indeed the chassis all fullsize fords, lincolns, and mercurys have been built on since 79, 80 for lincolns. Your marauder is also a panther.

This will only lead to tears. :nonono:

Seriously, though, people think you're insane if you want to do anything with an "old station wagon" except sell it to a demo racer for $100. I even had a Ford dealer mechanic basically tell me I was either nuts or stupid for wanting dual exhaust! Less so on this site, and there's an English guy who's been doing what appears to be resto-quality work on a Country Squire in the course of a lowrider project. One of my crazy, unlikely-to-be-realized ambitions is to figure out how to convert my Colony Park to a liftgate because I've never liked the three-way tailgate, but other folks here have had far more perserverence with them than I've had.

I love the 3 way tailgate. Only mine is pretty useless right now. LOL
