    Creepin' in from Colo. Springs

Hey fellas, GimmeDatVic here. I had been running into issues with my rAudi since I bought it, as imagined. A year later I find myself in a 1989 LTD Crown Vic.

I hate to say it, but I never thought I'd find myself in a Ford. I'm glad I made the proper transition to the CV from my 1990 Audi 90. I bought it Saturday, found this website this morning, and I like what I see. A good community for the "Panthers"!

Welcome, stick around and learn some stuff...that's what I do.

Also, it seems that every '88-'91 LTD is white LOL.

Bought an '88 one year for a winter beater that looked just like that. ('cept that it was a rust bucket.)

welcome! That's clean for an urban Colorado car.

Welcome! You may experience some age-related issues with your old Ford. However, it will probably be easier on your wallet than owning an Audi, when repairs are needed.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the warm welcome. I have owned older cars since my first, so it's not a big deal. I understand the wear and tear that comes with age. Character!

A single injector on my Audi cost me $240, with a discount. Now that that's out the window, I look forward even more so to owning an old Ford! Are there some common issues I should look for in the 5.0?

              Hey Welcome!

To answer your question... valve cover leaks, intake manifold leaks, coolant leaks, water pump failure, oil leaks, vacuum leaks... I guess it really depends how the car was looked for...
