I get tired of people telling me they would like to run my wagon in a demo derby. I finally had enough of it, when the last guy who said it was a guy who lives up the road, who's been riding a scooter. I pointed out, in front of his girlfriend, that a guy on a scooter, shouldn't be looking down his nose at other people's project cars, much less their means of transportation. Ironically I saw him a week later where I occasionally sell scrap metal. (I get to keep some now and again from work because it isn't worth me hauling it 60 miles to the shop) Not only had he wrecked it, the rod was knocking in his scooter and it wasn't worth fixing.
You guessed it, I was pulling my trailer with the HillbillySUV. Normally I would have offered him a ride the 2 miles back home, but he didn't ask and I figured he could use the exercise.

makes me fucking sick to see people derby a car.. even a 90s car!.. think about it. take a 90s escort wag or taurus wag for example... #1 the 90s, already nearly 20 years! and #2 wagons dont exist anymore!. start preserving the 90s people!, and that goes double for the 80s and older!.. QUIT DESTROYING CLASSICS FOR FUN YOU STUPID FUCKS!!!

rant over.. also note that this was not directed to any of you here, it was meant for the average low life who doesnt care

There is nothing wrong with derbying a car that is ready to bite the dust. Its the cream puffs that get smashed, that gets me. And I get guys saying my cars(esp the wagon) belong in derbies. I laugh and change the subject. I was at a demo derby last night and one of the large cars, was a mint early 80's impala. Dident have a spec of rust. Also, dont get me started on the "green" and "fuel econ" thing lol.

I like demo derbies (or crash derbies as we always called them) they're fun as hell and as much as I hate to admit it our boxes are some the most unfuckwithable cars in those things. If you've got a car that isn't extremely rare but is so far gone that it'd cost more to repair than it did to buy it new then crash it all to hell! But when people take potential show car material and destroy it, that's unforgivable. Like that impala marquisman mentioned, you know there are people who would love to build that car up into something nice but instead it gets crashed and scraped.

82withneons, if people don't use the 90s and 80's cars then what's left? A bunch of plastic bumpers that get totaled from the first hit, that's no fun.

wait a second, what was this thread about? lol!

Oh yeah, well I'd rather see a lowrider merc then a "donk" ugh. And honestly I don't see a whole lot of panther lowriders. Around where I live there is a negative stigma on pretty much all boxes, that if you're not old then you're probably from the ghetto and think you're a pimp. That's not what I think. I think style, luxury, class, comfort, safety.

yeah i know some people get sore vaginas about demo derbies, and I hate to see mint cars smashed but if I had something that was unfixable, off it would go. To be honest thats where my Towncar should have gone many years ago, but its a bit late now.
