So since you got that motor for basically free right? Why don't you just take your time and tinker with it until you want to put it in? Get it all re done and shined up/painted and then drop it in. I would go that route. Im just saying it's not like you spent a ton of money on it. Or if your concerned with it going in your DD, buy another vic with a shitty engine (there's a surplus around here) and work on that one maybe? Yeah look at me, I thought "oh I will just do the HO swap" and now Im on the hunt for a cheap 351 block to build up over the course of 4-5yrs. It will take a shitload of time, but If I had nothing else to do I would just be spending the money on another car. So I figure Ill just keep my investments in one place.
