I wonder if its just the TV bushing fail. Funny thing is I have a spare transmission from an 87 White/blue interior car that was rebuilt. I just don't need another car. WagonMan

Quite possible. Sounds like direct clutch at this point if its got nothing past 2.

Either way, transmissions suck less to deal with than rust and bad interior, especially now that the parts supply is getting thin.

Kinda tempting. Pop the trans out of the Vic and right into this one.

Lincolns use longer transmissions. Driveshaft spacer could make it happen though.

That is a very good price for that clean Lincoln. Rebuild the transmission and it should last for a good long time.
I would have to replace the wood looking dash panels. I just can't deal with that year wood look.

I've got the trans out of my coupe I can bring up to SF if you're interested, I won't need it long term. It should be an AOD under there (maybe fmx?), I just haven't crawled under to check

I am all talk. Appreciate the offer. Maybe someone else will be interested in the deal.
