Small scratch. Right. He turned a few thousand dollar wagon to a $500 wagon. Expensive as shit to fix/repair properly.

Wow, what a bonehead. A scratch is something I can probably mask with a polish and wax, or a paint pen on the worst day.

Mangled panels on the other hand is not something you can clean up with some detail stuff.

Looks like it needs a new fender, get the door straightened or replaced, trim, and wood grain plus paint. The biggest issue would be getting wood grain to match, since it's likely that stuff has faded some in the sun. It's not like paint where you can blend that, it's only going to come out one way. The costs for repairing that area would likely be high just given what would have to be sourced to make the repairs.

That scratch totaled that wagon. Sad.

Owner had too many beers the other weekend. Now he screwed up the car he bought to flip. Dude ditched English classes too. If I was a betting person, I would say he does not have a valid license or insurance. Car may not even be registered in his name either.

I can't tell you how many times I have come across this situation when I lived in Ca. Same story, different names. At least the car did not yet get impounded and sold to a junkyard.
