    THe dreaded under intake heather hose

    I was fortunate enough to yank out the intake, however, the heater hose im replacing looks like a PITA!

    Anyopne here have any exprience doing this and have any advice

    It looks like it tucks up under the aluminum box that is by the tranny dipstickClick image for larger version

    I think the aluminum box is the DPFE sensor.

        AFAIK, the 2vmod fellow was a biggie on Crownvic.net who passed away, and people like us owe a lot to him.

          Just have to undo that bracket on the back that holds it in, and you're gold.
          Should be 13mm.

                Is it easier to take off that DFPE module (aluminum box first, then the bolts holding on the hose? Doesn't seem like much clearance behind there

                  That would be my guess. Since you're replacing the tube, I think it has to come off anyway. And since it would be able to come off for a standalone repair, it just might be less aggravating taking it off first. My DPFE sensor has two hoses connected to it, so if yours is the same, you wouldn't necessarily have to disconnect those hoses if you just unbolt it.
