72 psi on a cold start for my '92 4.6. 18-20 psi hot idle in gear. Auto-meter oil pressure gauge.
1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

IIRC the oil warning lights pop on at about 6PSI. Correct?

10w30 or 10w40 in the 88 depending on what's on the shelf at the time. This car has a real pressure gauge. It reads ~55psi on most days (Texas... 70F+) "cold start". As high as 70psi cold start. Warmed up runs about 25psi. All at idle. Cold start higher RPM tops out at 75 or 80psi on my gauge. I tend to leak less oil with the 10w40. All dino oil here.

The 2000 NPI likes 5w30... 5w20 burns off. The 93 with the 2003 PI swap likes 5W20 because racecar. But really, no issues with it using oil. All synthetic for both of these cars. The 93 had an analog gauge for a while, but no numbers. Just using the jumper trick in the cluster with an analog sender. It looks like it ranged similarly to the 88 in pressure swing, though I would wager that it's all at higher pressures... guessing about +10... though I'd be curious to find out exactly what it is. I'd put an analog sender back in that one if I could find one that wasn't a POS stamped together thing. Something with a solid exterior would be nice. The bell shaped cans kept exploding on that car.

Today I found a Motorcraft selling auto parts, buy the 5W20 oil and oil filter and change it later today. Also the oil pressure sensor.
This weekend I measure the pressure again cold and with the engine hot, to know what pressure keeps with the oil 5W20
