Damn! You have that hole there below the filter. All my air comes from behind the 2 holes behind the headlight. Having that hole would be a trade off for me...

          Looks Nice!

Where did you get the zip tube, if you don't mind me asking? It's hard to find something that fits on the forward-facing TBs of the early aeros.
            Nice setup.

I got it at Autozone.. But make sure you get the metal one because you have to put a small dent in it to make it fit over the Fuel rail..I did mine with a rubber mallet...The ends of the pipe were kinda bent up but I fixed that a little with a block of wood and a C clamp..It looks good untill you take the pipe off...Theres some wrinkles in the ends but no leakage issues yet..

Im more worried about that hole getting the filter soaked when its raining...But if the mustang guys can do it I can too.

Cool, I helped you with the grille removal and you're hooking me up with zip tube info. Can't you just feel the love...lol

No hurry, though. I just got my service CDs and have been been balls deep in wiring diagrams for my 4V swap. So take your time.

I found a PI Zip tube from Blue Oval Chips.com for $42.00. I installed it on a 2004 Grand Marquis with a Cone K&N and it works great!

I used to have a homemade airbox for the K&N filter that came with the ProCharger kit. It drew air from the stock location behind the headlight using the stock airbox rubber boot.

                            Pic

IAT at idle was a solid 25 degrees above outside air temp and 15 degrees above on the highway. The IAT sensor is screwed into the cast aluminum right angle plenum that attaches to the throttle body above the driver's side cam cover, so radiant heat had a lot to do with the temp rise.

I started to design a better looking airbox but then got busy with other stuff, so the air filter has been exposed to the engine bay for awhile. IAT at idle can get 45 degrees above outside air temp and usually 25 degrees above on the highway. Drawing air from outside the engine bay does work, if you can get it.

I need to get back to that project.

Ha, you did the same autozone honda tube as me, except I bought it when it was $25, they jacked up the price on those things for some reason.
