per my 1986 shop manual, it specifies an 11" drum for all station wagons, police, taxi, and trailer tow vehicles. The 10" drum is for "sedan, except police, taxi, and trailer tow"
Exactly why Boxman's old wagon has 10" brakes is unknown. I almost wonder if someone didn't grenade the rear and slap a sedan rear in there at some point.
The max wear figures are stamped into the outer rim of the drum. Pull the wheel and you'll find it. It'll be 10.xxx or 11.xxx.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
