I bought a pick axe from Home Depot a few years ago to do some excavating for some concrete pads. It was made in India. I took about three swings with it, and the darn blade bent over at 90 degrees! It was like pot metal. 'Course my ground is about as hard as concrete, but still -- it's a pick axe, which is supposed to be made for digging. I took it back and went to Lowes and bought a TrueTemper pick axe. I used the crap out of that TrueTemper and it's never bent.
