I have a new to me 2000 P71 with 175kms (108 Miles) on the odo.
Recently we took it for a spin and when the engine was up to temp and driving about 20 MPH i punched it. The car downshifted and took off but within a second the heater hose on the intake popped off. We immediately pulled over and stopped. After reconnecting the hose and filling back the coolant we had transmission troubles.
It is really soft in all gears, holds onto first till almost red line with med throttle. Feels like flare/free run /run away on shift 1-2. It still has all 4 gears but im not driving it far or hard.
Fluid is in good shape, No trouble codes (well at least what my cheap scanner tool can find). No flashing O/D light or Check engine
I have not had the chance to check the resistance of the solenoid, speed sensor or wiring.
Any incite of what happen or what broke? I have rebuilt transmissions before but none ECU controlled.
