    2000 Grand Marquis speedometer not working

    Hello thank you for the replies not only is the original (not new) speedo not working the odometer does not work either any ideas would be appreciated thanks

    since they both run off the VSS signal, that's what you need to check. If the VSS is not sending a signal, that would be the problem. If the VSS is disconnected or the wires damaged, that would be the problem.

      I'd expect trouble codes, and the cruise control to also not work if the VSS signal was not working.
