Hello I own a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis LS and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to remove the ashtray any thoughts would be appreciated thank you

There's 2 clips that keeps the ash tray in the tracks it slides on. Once you find those (looking into the ash tray, you can see them at the back of the rails as you reach the stops) and release them, the tray will slide completely out. Then you can remove the screws that hold the rails.
