Should be about 5 quarts. I think you'll find it tells in the owner's manual how much it takes. But if I'm remembering correctly, when I've changed mine, about 5 quarts usually fills it.

Yeah, mine has that too, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

With an oil cooler you will need about an extra half quart to be safe. But in most cases the oil cooler never drains so the 1/2 quart is still in there, which is why 5 quarts is still full.
