can i give a mostly stock 302 that snotty sound?

i'm planning on a mild buildup of the 302 in the 84 i'm gettin, but iwant it to have that snotty sound to it.

here is what i had planned for mechanical mods

    4bbl conversion
    thumper e7's
    not sure on a cam
duals with hi-flow cats and glasspacks

ideas? i'm not lookin to make a street or a strip monster with this one, just a little more go and some rumble

build up a roller block for it and run a e303 cam with it
any way to avoid the smog nazis up there? here classic cars dont require inspection or emmisions and collectible cars need safety inspection but no emmisions.....check with your state.....let's all do out part to fuck the atmosphere hehe

My '84 T-bird, also stock CFI sounded awesome with 2.5" duals. I can only imagine what a 4-bbl will do for it, and maybe some better headers. Right now I rock the cheap stock mustang ones.

              cool vids

Scott, when you say build up a roller block, do you mean an 86-up 302?

nh only does a visual test on emissions. but depending on where you go all they check is the cats if anything i like fucking up the atmossphere :fart:

Justin, what carb and intake are you using? iirc, you're running flowmasters, correct me oif i'm wrong. i'll probably stick with glasspacks.

Justin runs an edelbrock 600 cfm, on a performer RPM intake.

                And 40 series flowmasters, yes.

I think his car sounds the best in the dyno vid. But NOTHING compared to the drone from his pipes cruising next to him at like 80mph

                  :stupid:

The dyno vid is when it was running straight pipes from the headers, the other 2 vids are with the H- crossover pipe welded in to balance the exhaust pulses. The folks at the dyno shop recommended it to crank out some extra horses.

I wish i could hear how nasty my car sounds from a spectator point of view, when i downshift 2 gears on the highway or cruising along side at speed

Flowmasters were NIB ~$100 shipped from a guy on ebay, performancepeddler I think is his name...
