Differences between 84-86 HO headers and 87-93 HO headers

Sorry, noob question here. I was looking into headers for the merc, and I've found two different types of stock mustang headers. Is there any differences, and will both work on a stock lo-po 87 5.0?

Mustangs up to 85 are cast manifolds(like the vics) , and 86+ are tubular for the mustangs.

85 Mustang HO 4bbl engines had stainless tubular headers, but the one side is shorter to accomodate the heat riser valve that fit between the header and the head pipe. They also have provisions on them for the stove pipes for the dual snorkle air cleaner.
