Is there any difference between Fox headers and SN95's? I was thinking they might be very slightly more suited because the SN95s have an inch or so longer wheelbase.

But is the orientation between the engine and the K-member any different? What about other obstacles Fox headers are designed to clear that are in different places on Panthers? If I were to try longtubes again (and I hope to do so), my inclination would be to start with the cheapest Fox longtube I can find and cut and hack till it fits. The set I had in my possession for a couple of weeks, I recall the main interference being between the starter and framerail, though admittedly I never actually tried the d/s header when the p/s wouldn't even go into place.

Also, I'm pretty sure SN95s came stock with the later mini-starter ... not that that's a big deal once you're paying for real headers. I might have had better luck with my attempt if I hadn't been quite so cheap.

Incidentally, as Mr. Land Yacht learned, ALWAYS make sure the headers fit on YOUR car. He had someone modify a set to fit using someone else's car as a template, and when he went to actually install them, they still didn't fit.
