Question - What shock length would work best for est. 1" drop on front and 0-1" drop on rear (925 lb/in springs front / 225 lb/in). I searched and saw statements to the effect that 20" of extension in the rear may not be enough without a stud extender of at least an inch.

It all varies, best thing to do is measure. Stock length should be fine with a 1" drop, since the stock length only gives about an inch of extension.

Yeah I was hoping there was an easy button on this since I was planning on ordering the springs and shocks at the same time. I did read your thread on your rear shocks being too short so I think I'll just order the springs (since that is set) and report back.

Are these the correct Bilstein rears?

        213AK1054

        Extended - 20.47
        Compressed - 12.68

I am trying to get this information complete so someone searching doesn't have to spend hours looking. Or maybe added to the sticky.

Not sure, I don't know of anyone using bilstiens.

Bilstien makes direct replacements for panthers though, so I'd just order them for the correct application. (or the 98-02 application)
