You used a gm air system. What type & vintage cars might have that?

its a simple control system that GM used for a few years. Buicks, olds , and the smaller vans Like the Venture and ect in the 2000's. I took one off the van. They were used to control the air shocks in those cars but have the same logic that you could use for the air bags too. It has worked well for mine so far.

      it is wired like this

Looks pretty similar to the air ride system used on the Towncar. Perhaps not identical, but very much the same concept.
        86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
5.0 HO, CompCams XE258,Scorpion 1.72 roller rockers, 3.55 K code rear, tow package, BHPerformance ported E7 heads, Tmoss Explorer intake, 65mm throttle body, Hedman 1 5/8" headers, 2.5" dual exhaust, ASP underdrive pulley

I could only find wiring diagrams on the more advanced system used on the later Lincolns that took into account steering wheel rotation... so i didn't use a ford system. Are the older (i think pre 92) systems simpler?? got a wiring diagram from one to share as i'm curious.

          Thanks Steve

The older ones do not control each shock individually. That is the most significant improvement with the newer system. Plus they layered on safety systems, e.g. they're not supposed to adjust if a door is open.
