215/70/R15 on the front, 225/70/R15 on the back

It's hard for me to find 225/70/R15s tires used around here so I'm going back to 215/70/R15. My Dad has brought home two good 215/70/R15's and I've been thinking about putting them on the front of my car (1990). The 225/70/R15s will have to stay on the back for a while until they wear out or I come up with some extra cash.

Are there any issues to keep in mind if I do this?

No problem. just keep the same size on the axle. The two fronts must match and the two rear must match, but they can be different front to back.

Doesn't anybody order tires south of the border? When I need tires I gotta call up, tell 'em what I want and wait for them to show up from whatever warehouse they use has them. I think I have only once had tires "in stock" anywhere. Even my work truck I got to stop in ahead of time and tell 'em what I want and wait for the call back.

sometimes... but they run most stores like warehouses over here anyhow, so they usually have the popular (re: cheap or badass) in stock.

If you're running used tires like the OP indicates, you're sort of at the mercy of what you can get. Last time I put tires on something, I mail ordered them and just dropped them off in the bed of the truck to be put on.

Depends on the car, I've been able to walk in and get four, I've also had to special order just one as a replacement.
