Front end clicks whenever i hit the brakes

It's weird, I just recently rebuilt my front end (with exception to pitman arm and power steering pump) and noticed that intermittently, whenever I hit the brakes (whether I go forward and in reverse) I would hear a click from the front can't narrow it down whether it is the drives or passenger's side.

Any idea what I could be?

Ashley's '89 TC did this when we put all new goodies on it too. We replaced the rotors, calipers, bearings, rubber lines and pads. Not sure if it clicked persay but it did have a slightly different feel to the pedal but that went away once the pads seated themselves.

Double-check all your TREs to make sure they're nice and tight in the steering knuckles and the center link. Same goes for the adjuster sleeves, namely the clamps at their ends where the TREs thread in.

Why did you not replace the pitman arm, how did you determine it's still good? It's pretty much impossible to be sure unless you had it disconnected from the steering box and moved its ball-in-socket joint by hand...

You got new lower ball joints, right? What about the uppers?

Where did you get the poly bushings from?

I have no clue, when I got them redone, Ivan at Skippyville recommended to use them. I am not sure where he got them

Energy Suspension makes the poly bushings, use the kits made for '92-'94 cars even if the car is a box-body. Can get them online, or some parts stores can order them in as well. Obviously that won't work for actual police-spec Crown Victoria box-body cars with the upper arms that have bronze bushings instead of rubber, for those you first swap the upper arms to the civilian version and then you can use the poly stuff. Lower arms are the same across the board tho, police and civilian alike, so no issues there.

                    hush you!

Could just be a body mount.

Bet you one of the upper control arms is moving. Does the car drive any differently when this click occurs? Pulling or anything?

Well the car has always pulled to the left.

If it would be a body mount, It wouldn't make this noise when I'm stating or stopping, it would do it regardless no?

When you say upper control arm moves, you mean where the bushing is or where it mounts to the frame?

Could be the brake pad locators that fit into the pistons. They become comprmised and the pads rattle aroud as they become worse they will rattle hitting ruff spots on the road
