    Wiper Speed Question

On my friend's 1988 CV, it appears the wiper blades move at the same speed regardless of any stalk adjustment. Is that an issue with the stalk (multi function switch) or the wiper motor or elsewhere?

Should be a constant hot and two switched grounds. Looking at the 86 book, yellow/red is hot, dark blue / orange is low speed ground, white is high speed ground. I I'm reading this right, you should get one or the other grounded but not both. Should be easy enough to check with a test light. If the grounds switch but the speed doesn't change, that sounds like motor problems or low voltage on the + side. If it doesn't switch, probably the switch itself is bad.
