Look under the drivers side dash above and just to the left of the brake pedal. You will see the computer there. You must removed the nut holding the bulk connector from the firewall side, outside.~David~

Thanks Dave! The nut you are speaking of is under the hood, I assume? If so, can you get to it from above or under the car (I would think if it that low under the car would be best but have to ask)?

It's under the hood and you can get to it from above it is just somewhat of a pain cuz of the inner fender. I believe it's a 10mm, may be easier if you remove the cruise ball which is also 10mm1985 LTD Crown Victoria - Currently restoring after she caught fire! CFI to SEFI to Carb swap, all custom wiring, Duraspark 2 ignition, Motorcraft 2100 Carb, slicktop, Shorty headers dumped before rear axle, 140 Speedo, 3G alt, And currently building an engine for her.
2000 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series - 165XXX, PI intake swap , 30 MPG Easy on the Highway, All options except dual exhaust. Currently looking for 2 front seats: Heated, Memory, and Light Graphite color!!

easy way is to remove the cruise servo then use a swivel head extension (10 inch to help clean stuff) or a u-joint, on a 10mm socket and take it off. Then just yank the ECM out from under the dash.

Is it only one bolt under the hood? If so, why not do one bolt inside??
