    Accumulator

    Is it a removable/ replaceable item and available new or do I have to get new hose crimped?

    Looks like they have it at Autozone for $73 might be other places also.

      that's the high pressure hose (has an overpressure blow-off valve on the short pipe off the can portion. The dryer/accumulator also needs to be replaced when the system is opened.

        I'd add, if you've got the system open, change all the seals etc. It's pretty straightforward, a good shade tree job, and not very expensive compared to the fill.

          Can anyone tell me how to remove the accumulator from the manifold? looks like its a pressed in idea but its nothing I've seen before?

            Thats actually the muffler. Its part of the hose assembly. Looks like an 89+ part. Find a new discharge hose and it will come with the manifold and the muffler.

              the accumulator/dryer is attached to the evaporator core. it's the large can with the low side connection/port on it near the heater blower.
