Brake light fuse pops every time you tap the brakes

    Actually, I don't know if this has something to do with it, but the turn signal click retainer is broken (meaning the left/right click wont stay on unless I hold it in that position)

      I doubt it. The problem is probably the internal switching in the switch as it passes the brake light signal and also sets the blinker signals. If you unplug the switch and still pop the fuse, that's not the problem and it's probably the brake switch on the brake pedal itself. If the fuse doesn't pop... then the problem is either the switch or something further down in the circuit. Considering the dilapidated condition of the MFS, I would wager on it.

        I changed the brake light switch PITA!!!

        but it wasn't that, the lights are ok, next thing is the multifunction/turn signal switch

              The cam in the multi-function switch is probably broken, shorting out and blowing your fuses.
              Change your multi-function switch and call it a day.

                    Yes. that thing. You have to swap your lever over. I forget precisely how to do it, but its not very hard. Something about pushing out a pin or clip or somesuch to release it.
