    blower on hvac not working

Over the summer my blower on my 91 CV would sometimes work & sometimes not. Worked on all settings than only on high than it stopped working all together. So I researched the threads & replaced the Blower Resistor & pigtail. (Both were toast) But it still wont work.. Check the fuse it all good. Next step would be the blower itself or is there anything else I should be looking for????

Something that worked for me in my 2000 MGM for a similar problem was cleaning the contacts on the motor. They were black, and it's been fine since. For a 1991, a new motor might be in order.

Perhaps it's possible you also smoked the switch?

I would test the blower in place by connecting it to the battery. It'll spin or it won't. If it spins... probably the fan switch has issues (possible harness as well). If it doesn't spin... there's your problem.

My 91 had that problem and it was the blower resistor assy that had toasted.
